Faces I DYB 2009 - 2010

After a challenge to the group in 2009 to show “faces” of any type in their blocks, a group of very talented crazy quilters decided to try a Faces “Do Your Block” round robin.  From July 2009 through February of this year, they enthralled us with their glorious work and unending creativity.

Have a seat and make yourself comfortable.  You’re in for a real treat as you view the work of Leslie E, Gerry K, Nicki Lee S, Debbie Q, Rose Anne B, and Diane (“Dimity”).

Rose Anne worked on Opal. As you can see, she is very stylish!

Opal’s hat is a milliner’s delight!

Leslie created Miss Pearl.  And since she loves peacocks, Miss Pearl Peacock had to have a peacock on her  headdress.

Miss Bertha couldn’t wait to join her friends, so Nicki Lee obliged.  Don’t you love Bertha’s mink??

Here are Opal, Pearl and Bertha, courtesy of

Leslie did some Angel work, and created a second diva.  Introducing Star Sensation Soprano Soloist Sadie !!  Really, though, she doesn’t let it go to her head!  ;-)

The completed girls.  Gerry will get to finish Emma (not pictured).
